Looking for justification, so that you get the right context, can be paralysing when it comes to creation. As an artist I’m realising that I do things because I know I should, I could probably quote you some french philosophy to back up whatever I do when I do it but its not until I reach retrospective rationalisation that my true connection becomes clear. This often occurs months / years later.

October 29, 2005 on 4:07 pm | In All Drawings, Interiors, UK | No CommentsI’ve updated the diary by changing servers and database software. This gives you the option of choosing which category you may want to look at and there is also search option. On a more commercial note you can also buy digital prints of all the drawings and at the moment USA residents can buy Doxology Lithographs.

Restful Holiday
October 27, 2005 on 4:00 pm | In Action, All Drawings, People, UK | No CommentsWe’re spending the week in Sherwood forest with my family away from everything. However the rest has turned into an enjoyable boot camp with cycling, swimming, badminton & squash made compulsory before breakfast!
Made Equal To The Task
October 26, 2005 on 2:04 pm | In All Drawings, Buildings, Churches, Interiors, UK | No CommentsLincoln is both ancient and beautiful, and walking through the cloisters of the cathedral reminded me of my childhood in Exeter. The use of contemporary art within the building succeeds in making the experience of the space a contemplative one.

October 24, 2005 on 12:53 pm | In All Drawings, People, UK | No CommentsSome times you go out of the country and nothing ever changes - other times you return and everything seems different. This is a drawing of my older brother who I saw today for the first time since his proposal to Natasha.
Public House
October 23, 2005 on 3:41 pm | In All Drawings, Interiors, London | No CommentsI’ve felt a bit like a tourist over the past couple of days. I’ve walked the streets, strolled on Hampstead Heath, enjoyed the chill in the air and taken trips to the local pubs which has been just the way to settle back into autumn here.
London Branch
October 22, 2005 on 3:52 pm | In All Drawings, Landscapes, London, UK | No CommentsHaving spent the last 6 weeks in the built cities in Texas when we arrived back in London it was quite striking just how green it is. We may have been greeted with a blanket of grey but since then this city has shone for us.
