January 29, 2006 on 12:51 pm | In All Drawings, People, Portraits | No CommentsSo from one to the other, I visit my 86 year old (well actually he is 21 as he was born on Feb 29) grandfather who they think has bleeding on the brain and prostate cancer. Unfortunately he is no fully with us but he does seem comfortable in his home.

January 28, 2006 on 12:26 pm | In All Drawings, Life Stills | No CommentsThis is a drawing of my grandmother’s grave, I hadn’t been to see it for nearly 15 years.
Returning to a place where I spent the early part of my childhood brought back memories that seemed other worldly.
She was a lovely lady and her life story is incredibly tragic. My mother is writing about it and it’s effect on her life. I’ll let you know when its finished.
Guerrilla Gardening
January 27, 2006 on 12:11 pm | In All Drawings | No CommentsSince finding my old friend Richard Reynolds online I’ve been following the Guerrilla Gardening website. The premise is that they go and tender to the green spaces that have been abandoned and give them back some beauty. Whilst walking through Clerkenwell I happened upon a recent dig and thought it necassary to draw it. Its project 7 at Amwell Street.
Since the drawing we’ve talked and I may well be an on the ground drawer at a forthcoming dig. There are rumours of t-shirts too!
Coffee Table Books
January 26, 2006 on 12:04 pm | In All Drawings, Interiors, Life Stills | 2 CommentsThe new The New Celebrity is coming out on Feb 9 and they are wanting to branch out into starting to publish books. They are interested in running a book alongside the exhibition I’ve just been asked to do in Dallas October 2007. It will be quite exciting.
Cheerio…….
St John’s St
January 25, 2006 on 11:41 am | In All Drawings, Interiors, London | No CommentsDue to the central heating installation we moved out to Jenna and Will’s flat in Clerkenwell. It’s a lovely part of the city and also now one of the most expensive. I especially enjoyed the drink at the infamous Jerusalem Tavern. I was joined for a drink by Mark Fletcher and the second biggest rat I’ve ever seen in my life. The Tavern is pretty authentic but rats out in the street was a detail too far.
