So just to let you know- we have completed a number of your sugestions on how to enjoy jolly Dorset and being 'on the ground' I can give valuable advice to the future holiday maker...
*Strolling beside the river, on the cobb, and taking out a boat on the 'sea' as we call it- All achieved. All enjoyed.
*taking a bath- always good
*Coram Tower- avoid- looks boring
*painting a picture- rob's job
*putting on a play- well after the huge success of the christmas nativity that myself, Rob , Jenna (my sis) and Will put on in the sweltering heat of Kensington Gardens the other day (Will was Mother Mary, I was Jesus- greatly enjoyed by the bemused passers by and to be used as our Christmas card this year)we were enthused to follow up our success. Didn't work quite so well, sadly. Will got to choose the theme this time. Being on the beach and being Will he chose the Normandy Landings. Rob and he ducked down in the sand and left me on my own on the edge of the beach- I was designated the role of all 'the Germans' and the rest of the family backed off in embarressment. i felt all alone.
I think sticking to religious themes in the future is a much better bet.

On that note i'm off to set lose my monkey

Oh, there are tons to do in Dorset:
1. Stroll the river Lym
2. Visit the historical harbor Cobb
3. Let a monkey run lose on the towns folk.
4. Get a time machine and go back to the 1600s when Dorset was at the height of its popularity.
5. Climb Coram Tower
6. Take a boat out on the ocean
7. Meet a beautiful English girl and receive multiple complements on funny American accents
8. Have a look at some of the world famous fossils
9. Paint a picture
10. Put on a play with your friends
11. Throw a huge party where all the worlds elite show up and decided to give money to the poor
12. Take a bath
13. Tell someone you love them
14. Play minigolf
15. Watch the people and learn how they live

If the tourism board in Lyme Regis is reading, yes I would love to be an events planner for your city. I can promise love.
