Greg Russinger got voted the 29th most important person ever once upon a time by some magazine or other. He was foolish enough to wear some chav clothes though and he’ll never hear the end of it.

Greenbelt festival started yesterday and all our attention is focused on the Protest 4 talk today. Aimie, Si and Greg Russinger (from Ventura California) are presenting about Sex Trafficking. Aimie’s focus is on The Truth Isn’t Sexy Campaign which she and Protest4 have been working on for the past year. The idea is to raise awareness about sex trafficking by placing beermats into pubs, bars and clubs.

The mats are intended to be provocative and have the feel and look of calling cards you find in telephone boxes. On the back there is a story telling a tale of a trafficked girl.
Ellen was abducted from Albania and sold to a brothel in London’s west end where she was forced to have sex with up to forty men a day. She was beaten, raped and threatened with death if she tried to refuse. Ellen was 15.
The truth isn’t sexy.

New York
August 23, 2006 on 3:08 pm | In London | No CommentsRichard Reynolds has asked me to join him on a little trip to New York to attend an exhibition that the Van Alen Gallery is putting on. It’s about Public Spaces and the Guerrilla Gardening phenomenon is being featured.
Alongside recording Richard’s time there for his upcoming book, I intend to further my collection of New York Drawings which amount to only a handful at the moment. One of the best way to see these is to find them on the Drawing Map, this is still in progress but I really believe it helps the drawings come alive.
