Council Complaint

We live under the loving arms of Islington Council. Although their green policies are quite good when it comes to parking and the swarms of traffic wardens it’s a whole different matter. Today I made the glamorous annual trip to the council office to get the parking permit for Maggie. Whilst sat there for the hour and a half it took for them to see me I watched this man make a complaint. He had driven to the office to pay for his parking permit and paid for an hour’s worth of parking thinking that this would be enough to get him his sacred piece of paper. After waiting the hour the council workers hadn’t seen him so off he went to put some more money into the machine. Waiting another half hour they gave him his permit and off he went thinking that all was well with the world. He returned to his car to find that he had been given a parking ticket at the cost of £50 because he had fed the meter. Although he had the right to be there for 2 hours he wasn’t allowed to buy two tickets according to the Traffic Wardens. There was nearly an uprising amongst the people of Islington and the prophetic Morcheeba could have been right with The Great London Traffic Warden Massacre.
