 Mr Whippy Meet Mr Shakespeare

For those of you who don’t know London, this drawing was done outside of Shakespear’s Globe. From one true English icon to the next, the Mr Whippy Icecream van in the foreground signifies a quintessential English summer’s day. My friend Stef left a comment this evening and I feel that it needs elevating from merely a comment to part of the post. His genius is in blocks:

To lick, or not to lick: that is the question:
Whether ’tis Macadamia in the mouth to suffer
The Pecans and Almonds of Vanilla Fudge Swirl,
Or to take Lemons against a sea of Pralines & Cream,
And by Chocolate Chip Cookie end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say Pistachio
The Cheesecake and the thousand Knickerbocker Glories
That flesh is heir to, ’tis a consummation
Raspberry Ripple. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: Mint Chip to dream: ay, there’s the tub;
For in that Banana Split what creams may come
When we have Coffeed off this Maple Walnut,
Mango give us Pear: there’s the Persimmon
That makes Toffee Crunch of Strawberry Ice;
For who would eat the whips and cornets of lime…
